    Blacklane is a leading international premium mobility group powered by +€100M of funding from Mercedes-Benz and SIXT group. I was hired to help identify new growth opportunities and to execute and build services to capitalise on these.

    - Strategic competence review through stakeholder interviews matched to service delivery capability.

    - Deliver 5 years business case reflecting investment, resource requirement and projected ROI.

    - Develop full product vision connected to short, medium and long term OKR’s and KPI’s.

    - Present and engage senior management to ensure stakeholder buy-in.

    - Handover scalable platform of services (vehicle leasing, insurance, maintenance and fuel) to local market management teams to deploy globally that will contribute significantly to Blacklane’s topline.

    Hired to lead all commercial aspects of groups largest investment (Itsapark - now part of H&M Group) and advise group on broader corporate venturing strategy.

    - Develop realistic business case to support investment in short, medium and long term.

    - Developed and rolled out KPI’s and OKR’s across the company.

    - Advised group to shut down venture and led the restructuring of 50 FTE’s leading to savings of double digit €M per annum.

    23 Capital is a $2.5B fund investing in IP-rich growth companies backed by Credit Suisse & Soros Quantum Group.

    - Third C-suite hire and seventh employee; built strategic plan supporting capital deployed growth of 10X to over $2.5B and revenue growth of 20X reaching $24M in three years.

    - Identified, articulated, and gained buy-in on group strategy; presenting to shareholders and partners securing lines of capital in excess of $2.5B.

    - Implemented OKR setting across all division heads achieving 75% alignment on group strategy.

    - Led 23 Capital’s capital raise, delivering a signed $350M term sheet from Blackstone (BTO).

    - Led the closing of a $20M investment into a premium sport content platform (exit to Element Media).

    - Structured and closed a €60M asset backed securitization.

    - Worked with McKinsey and Moody’s on developing a sector-specific credit risk scoring model, improving funding capacity and pricing by ~25-50 basis points.

    Mountain Fintech (acquired by Finstar Financial) is a €30M global Fintech incubator founded in Berlin.

    - Managed teams to scope several business models including financial modelling, market research, customer and partnership development and product architecture.

    - Launched our first venture as interim COO; Prunto an AI engine that uses mobile data to assess creditworthiness and intent to purchase.

    - Launched UK market for Germany's No. 1 Fintech affiliate network (cash generative in < 3 weeks).

    - Managing Director (interim) at Dataconomy Media GmbH (Europe's leading Big Data media platform).

    - Senior member of group Strategy and Fundraising team; worked directly with Founder & CEO Jan Beckers on a triple digit (€M) raise and scoped several new ventures.

    Abroad Spectrum Trading provides short-term credit solutions to SME’s.

    - Led business from startup through to profitability and strategic acquisition.

    - Built loan book to over ~ZAR200M with no defaults in two years.

    - Sourced, negotiated and structured a variety of receivables transactions.

    Zapacab is a mobile taxi application serving the African transport market.

    - Secured seed funding; negotiated partnerships with two of the biggest taxi operators in South Africa, led tech and product team from concept to launch.

    March 2010 – May 2013

    TASC Towers is the first independent wireless infrastructure operator in the Middle East.

    - Headed up B2B sales, building relationships with multinational mobile operators including MTN, Vodafone, Millicom, Airtel and Etisalat

    - Led investor relations, defining investment thesis and developing a global network of ~300 institutional investors including Apax, Actis, IFC and Blackstone.

    - Sourced new acquisition opportunities and worked with external advisors on structuring (KPMG), operational analysis (Analysys Mason) and financial due diligence (Alcazar Capital).

    - Formed JV partnership with renewable energy company Hybrid Energy, successfully conducting trials with Vodafone Qatar, Roshan Afghanistan, SWAP Nigeria, and MTN Afghanistan.

    - Delivered several strategy projects for clients including Coca-Cola, Carlsberg Group, American Express and Spotify

    - Assumed senior responsibility for end-to-end project management including project scoping, client pitch, budget management, team management and market research.

    - Team member of three who raised $300M for a range of alternative asset managers.
